The Terrible Texan

Formed in 2020, The Terrible Texan is a solo alternative musician hailing from Houston, TX. Originally a three piece band blending elements from bands like Megadeth and Nirvana with a bit of psychedelia into their sound on the first three records, the original lineup parted ways due to creative and personal differences. This resulted in The Terrible Texan drastically changing his sound from thrash and grunge, to an experimental take between grunge and other forms of metal. After the first three records and a live album, The Terrible Texan changed gears from focusing on the loudest, most aggressive sound, to a more nuanced, deeper, and grandiose sound; keeping heaviness while doing so. As if Type O Negative and Mayhem had a baby with The Beatles . The music is defined by heavy, rhythmic guitars that are complemented by acid-like vocal takes, delivering a sound that's both intense and hypnotic. The relentless melodies that groove throughout the songs provide a solid foundation for The Terrible Texan’s sound, giving him a signature style that's entirely his own.
